Oliver Twist is a 2005 English-language Crime Drama motion picture written by Charles Dickens and Ronald Harwood. The movie is directed by Roman Polanski and produced by Roman Polanski, Robert Benmussa and Alain Sarde. An adaptation of the classic Dickens tale, where an orphan meets a pickpocket on the streets of London. From there, he joins a household of boys who are trained to steal for their master. Oliver twist features Ben Kingsley, Jamie Foreman, Barney Clark, Leanne Rowe, Edward Hardwicke, Mark Strong and Martin Konecný. The screenplay is written by Ronald Harwood which is inspired from Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. The music was composed by Rachel Portman. Cinematography was done by Pawe Edelman and editing by Herv de Luze. The motion picture has a running time of 130 minutes. It was released on 10th November 2005. Oliver Twist was made on a budget of $60 million and at the box office it grossed only $42 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by TriStar Pictures.
