Parisu is a 1963 Tamil-language Drama Family film written by Arour Dass and directed by D. Yoganand and produced by D. Yoganand and K. P. Kootarakkara under the banner of Gowri Pictures. Venu, is a policeman, whose friend Raghu dies and his sister, Mala, becomes Venu's responsibility. Mala is in love with Vishwam and he agrees to marry her only if Venu marries his sister, Shanthi. Parisu stars M. G. Ramachandran in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including M. R. Radha, M. N. Nambiar, Nagesh, M.g. Ramachandran, Savitri Kommareddy and Jai Ganesh. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan. Cinematography was done by P. Ramasamy and editing by G. D. Joshi. The movie has a running time of 149 minutes. It was released on 15th November 1963. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Gowri Pictures.
