Pogaru Bothu is a 1986 Telugu-language motion picture written and directed by A. Sarkunam and produced by Nazir under the banner of Sherali Films. Pogaru bothu features Vimal in the title role along with Oviya, Saranya Ponvannan, Ganja Karuppu, Ilavarasu and Antony in supporting roles. The music was composed by S. S. Kumaran. Cinematography was done by Om Prakash and editing by Raja Mohammad. It was released on 1st January 1986. The Film was successful at box office. Pogaru Bothu was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹5 crore. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Ayngaran International.
