Poomadathu Pennu is a 1984 Malayalam-language Drama Family motion picture written and directed by Hariharan and produced by Mankombu Gopalakrishnan and G. P. Vijayakumar under the banner of Vimal Movies. Poomadathu pennu stars Prem Nazir in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Unnimary, K. P. Ummer, M. G. Soman, Anuradha Krishna Kumar, Paravoor Bharathan and Nellikode Bhaskaran. The screenplay is written by Hariharan. The music was composed by G. Devarajan. Cinematography was done by U. Rajagopal and editing by M. S. Mani. It was released on 11th February 1984. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Vimal Movies.
