Poomugappadiyil Ninneyum Kathu is a 1986 Malayalam-language Drama Family motion picture written and directed by Bhadran Matel and produced by Jose Thomas, Jose Thomas Padinjarekara and K. B. Peethambaran under the banner of United Peoples. Poomugappadiyil ninneyum kathu features Mammootty in the lead role along with Cicily, Mohanlal Viswanathan, Rashin Rahman, Raadhu, Srividya Krishnamurthy, Sulakshana Gopikrishnan and Thilakan in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Bhadran. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja along with Bichu Thirumala. Editing was done by M. S. Mani. It was released on 9th May 1986. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by United Peoples.
