Poriyaalan is a 2014 Tamil-language Drama Romance film written by M.s. Manimaran and directed by Thanukumar and produced by Vetrimaaran, A. K. Vetri Velavan and M. Devarajulu under the banner of Grass Root Film Company in collaboration with Ace Mass Medias. Civil engineer Saravanan raises funds to buy land and start his own venture. But when he realises that the title is not in his name he also realises that the broker who sold the land is absconding. Poriyaalan stars Harish Kalyan, Rakshita, Achyuth Kumar, Anandhi, Delhi Ganesh, Achuta Kumar and Mohan Raman. The music was composed by M. S. Jones. Cinematography was done by Velraj and editing by G. B. Venkatesh. It was released on 5th September 2014. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Vendhar Movies.
