Premikula Roju is a 1999 Telugu-language Comedy Drama film written by Kathir Subbiah and Prakash Thrishuli. The movie is directed by Kathir Subbiah and Victory Vasu and produced by N. Purushotthama Rao, B. V. Chakrapani, M. Suresh, K. Srinivasamurthy and Jyothi Hanumantharaju. Two college students, the slum child Raja and the dean's daughter Roja, chat with each other over the Internet and fall in love. However, Roja is engaged and Raja cannot bear to disrespect her father, to whom he owes his livelihood. Premikula roju features Jaggesh in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Payal Malhotra, Lokesh, Jayanthi, Tennis Krishna, Avinash and Killer Venkatesh. The screenplay is written by Victory Vasu which is inspired from Raasukutti by K. Bhagyaraj. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with Hamsalekha. Cinematography was done by Sundarnath Suvarna and editing by S. Prasad. The film has a running time of 148 minutes. It was released on 9th July 1999.
