Pulp Fiction is a 1994 English-language Crime Drama movie written by Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary. The movie is directed by Quentin Tarantino and produced by Lawrence Bender. The lives of two mob hit men, a boxer, a gangster's wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption. Pulp fiction stars John Travolta in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer and Maria De Medeiros. Cinematography was done by Andrzej Seku a and editing by Sally Menke. The film has a running time of 154 minutes. It was released on 10th September 1994 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Pulp Fiction was made on a budget of $8 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $222 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Miramax Films. At the 1995 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.
