Qi xiao fu is a 1988 Cantonese-language Drama motion picture written by Alex Law and Mabel Cheung. The movie is directed by Alex Law and produced by Leonard Ho and Mona Fong under the banner of Golden Harvest in collaboration with Shaw Brothers Studio. This is a story about the Peking Opera School that Jackie Chan, Samo Hung and Yuen Biao (the Lucky Stars) attended as young men. The story is about their teacher Master Yu and his school. Written by Joyce Uyeno. Qi xiao fu features Sammo Hung, Lam Ching-ying, Cheng Pei-pei, John Shum, Wu Ma, Mary Li and Corey Yuen. The music was composed by Lowell Lo. Cinematography was done by David Chung and editing by Kwong Chi-leung and Yu Tun. The film has a running time of 100 minutes. It was released on 10th November 1988. The motion picture made a box office gross of $14 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Golden Harvest.
