Raja Rani is a 1973 Hindi-language Family Romance motion picture written and directed by Sachin Bhowmick and produced by J. Om Prakash under the banner of Filmyug Pictures. Raja rani stars Rajesh Khanna in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Sharmila Tagore, David Abraham, Iftekhar Khan, Raj Mehra, Suresh and Brahm Bhardwaj. The music was composed by R.d. Burman. Cinematography was done by V. Babasaheb and editing by Pratap Dave. It was released on 15th January 1973. As a young boy Raja turns to a life of crime after the death of his mother. Years later Raja, now a hardened thief, uses a marriage as an escape ploy but shortly after he is caught.
