Rakht is a 2004 Hindi-language Horror Thriller film written by Mahesh Manjrekar, Deepak Kulkarni, Vinay and Yash. The movie is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and Mahesh V. Manjrekar and produced by Sunil Shetty under the banner of The Forge. Drishti, a psychic tarot card reader becomes unwittingly mixed up in the disappearance and possible murder of a socialite. Rakht stars Bipasha Basu in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Dino Morea, Sunil Shetty, Amrita Arora, Neha Dhupia and Himanshu Malik. The music was composed by Naresh Sharma along with Anand Raj Anand, S. Bhattacharya, Shamir Tandon and Blue. Cinematography was done by Vijay Arora. The movie has a running time of 162 mins. It was released on 3rd September 2004. Rakht was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹5 crore. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Popcorn Motion Pictures.
