Ramu is a 1966 Tamil-language Drama motion picture written by Javar Seetharaman and directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar and produced by M. Murugan, M. Kumaran and M. Saravanan under the banner of Uma Productions. A remake of the Hindi film Door Gagan Ki Chhaon Mein , it revolves around a boy who loses his speech after witnessing his mother's death, and his father attempts to restore his son's speech. Ramu stars Gemini Ganesh in the title role along with an ensemble cast including K. R. Vijaya, Gemini Ganesan, Jamuna Rao, Chittor V. Nagaiah, Taraka Rama Rao Nandamuri and S.v. Ranga Rao. The screenplay is written by Javar N. Seetharaman. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. Cinematography was done by T. Muthusamy and D. Rajagopal and editing by R. G. Gopu.
