Ranaranga is a 1988 Kannada-language Action Drama movie written by Hamsalekha and directed by V. Somashekhar and produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar under the banner of Vaishnavi Movies. Juvenile delinquent Anand(Shivraj Kumar) is a reformed adult, who is now a qualified engineer. He sets out to find his estranged mother and punish the culprits who put him in jail. Ranaranga features Shivarajkumar in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Sudharani, Tara, Thara, C.r. Simha, Balakrishna and Thoogudeepa Srinivas. The screenplay is written by V. Somasekhar. The music was composed by Hamsalekha. Cinematography was done by H. G. Raju and editing by P. Bhaktavatsalam. The movie has a running time of 143 minutes.
