Ratha Paasam is a 1980 Tamil-language motion picture written by A. L. Narayanan and directed by K. Vijayan and produced by Santhi Narayanasamy, and Manohar under the banner of Sivaji Productions. Ratha paasam features Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including M. N. Nambiar, Major Sundarrajan, Mohan Babu Manchu, Shivaji Ganesan, Jai Ganesh and Jayachitra. The screenplay is written by Sivaji Ganesan. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. Cinematography was done by T. S. Vinayagam and editing by B. Kandasamy. It was released on 14th June 1980.
