The movie is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sohail Khan, Rajat Rawail, Nasir Khan and Nitin Manmohan under the banner of T-Series in collaboration with Rawail Grandsons Entertainment and Software Pvt. Ltd., Sohail Khan Productions and Eros International. Set in Thailand and India, a case of mistaken identity leads to love; and a man and his family concoct a grand scheme to win over the hearts of a woman and her greedy conniving uncles. Ready features Salman Khan in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Asin Thottumkal, Paresh Rawal, Mahesh Manjrekar, Anuradha Patel, Manoj Pahwa and Manoj Joshi. The movie is based on Ready by Srinu Vaitla. The music was composed by Pritam Chakraborty along with Devi Sri Prasad and Sandeep Shirodkar.
