Redeemer is a 2002 English-language Drama film. A writer is touched by the story of a former Black Panther who seams to have been wrongfully convicted to life imprisonment 20 years ago. The writer decides to try to help the now middle-aged convict get exonerated. Redeemer features Matthew Modine in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Obba Babatundé, Michele Greene, Bruce Dinsmore, Emily Vancamp, Tyrone Benskin and Eugene Clark. It was released on 26th March 2002.
