Rescue Dawn is a 2007 English-language Adventure Biography movie written by Werner Herzog and Joel Beckerman. The movie is directed by Werner Herzog, Christine Hsia and Leticia Rodriguez and produced by Werner Herzog, Steve Marlton, Elton Brand and Harry Knapp under the banner of Gibraltar Films in collaboration with Thema Production and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. A U.S. fighter pilot's epic struggle of survival after being shot down on a mission over Laos during the Vietnam War. Rescue dawn stars Christian Bale in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Steve Zahn, Zach Grenier, Marshall Bell, Toby Huss, Pat Healy and Gq. The music was composed by Klaus Badelt along with Ernst Reijseger. Cinematography was done by Peter Zeitlinger and editing by Joe Bini. The movie has a running time of 125 minutes. It was released on 27th July 2007 in English,Lao and Vietnamese languages. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Rescue Dawn was made on a budget of $10 million and at the box office it grossed only $7 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by MGM Distribution Co.
