Rise of the Giants is a 2014 English-language Adventure Family film written by David Lindsay Abaire and William Joyce. The movie is directed by Peter Ramsey and produced by Christina Steinberg. Rise of the Giants follows a group of dedicated and eccentric farmers' race to grow the world's largest pumpkin (2032 pounds!) Along the way the film reveals how the plant changed the course of U.S. history, how farming helps incarcerated addicts with their recovery, and how a community of young growers have rediscovered their farming roots. Written by Daria Matza. Rise of the giants stars Jordan Rogers, Alec Baldwin, Chris Pine and Isla Fisher. The music was composed by Venice Golden Lion winner Alexandre Desplat. It was released on 21st December 2012.
