Roman Scandals is a 1933 English-language Comedy Fantasy movie written by George S. Kaufman, Robert E. Sherwood, William Anthony Mcguire, George Oppenheimer, Arthur Sheekman, Nat Perrin and Based On The Story By George Kaufman. The movie is directed by Frank Tuttle and produced by Samuel Goldwyn under the banner of Samuel Goldwyn Productions. A kind-hearted young man is thrown out of his corrupt home town of West Rome, Oklahoma. He falls asleep and dreams that he is back in the days of olden Rome, where he gets mixed up with court intrigue and a murder plot against the Emperor. Roman scandals stars Eddie Cantor in the title role along with an ensemble cast including The Goldwyn Girls, Ruth Etting, Gloria Stuart, Edward Arnold, David Manners and Verree Teasdale. The music was composed by Alfred Newman. Cinematography was done by Ray June and Gregg Toland and editing by Stuart Heiser. The film has a running time of 93 minutes.
