Samurai is a 2002 Telugu-language Action Drama film written by Pattukottai Prabhakar, Balaji Shaktivel and Balaji Sakthivel. The movie is directed by Balaji Shaktivel and Balaji Sakthivel and produced by S. Sriram under the banner of Aalayam. Thiagu is a school teacher by day and a 'Samurai' by night. He and his gang abduct corrupt politicians.. Samurai features Vikram in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Anita Hassanandani, Jaya Seal, Jayaseel, Nasser, Vadivukkarasi and Gundu Anitha. The music was composed by Harris Jayaraj. Cinematography was done by Sethu Sriram, S. D. Vijay Milton and A. Venkatesh and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The film has a running time of 180 minutes. It was released on 25th July 2002.
