Sanam is a 1951 Hindi-language Comedy Drama film written by Nilkantha Tiwari and directed by Nandlal Jaswantlal and produced by United Technicians under the banner of United Technicians. Sanam features Dev Anand in the lead role along with Meena Kumari, Suraiya Jamaal Sheikh, Meena Kumari Bano, K.n. Singh, Gope Kamlani, Pratima Devi and Jillo in supporting roles. The music was composed by Husnlal Bhagatram. Cinematography was done by Jal Mistry and editing by Shankarlal Nayak. The motion picture has a running time of 120 minutes. It was released on 1st January 1951. Sanam was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 crore. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by United Technicians.
