Sap ji sang ciu is a 2012 Mandarin-language Action Adventure film written by Jackie Chan, Stanley Tong, Frankie Chan and Edward Tang. The movie is directed by Jackie Chan and produced by Jackie Chan, Stanley Tong and Barbie Tung under the banner of JCE Movies Limited in collaboration with Emperor Classic Films, Emperor Dragon Movies and Jackie & JJ Productions. Asian Hawk (Jackie Chan) leads a mercenary team to recover several lost artifacts from the Old Summer Palace, the bronze heads of the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals which was looted by foreigners in the 1800s. Assisted by a Chinese student and a Parisian lady, Hawk stops at nothing to accomplish the mission. Written by Immanuel Ambhara. Sap ji sang ciu features Jackie Chan in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Kwon Sang-woo, Liao Fan, Helen Yao, Zhang Lanxin, Laura Weissbecker and Oliver Platt. The music was composed by Roc Chen along with Nathan Wang and Jackie Chan. Cinematography was done by Jackie Chan, Horace Wong, Ng Man-ching, Ben Knott, Yip Siu-ching and Ng Man-chuen and editing by Yau Chi-wah. The film has a running time of 123 minutes. It was released on 20th December 2012 in Mandarin,English and French languages. The Film was successful at box office. Sap ji sang ciu was made on a budget of $26 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $171 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Emperor Motion Pictures.
