Sardar is a 1993 English-language Drama Biography motion picture written by Vishnuvardhan and directed by Phani Ramachandra and produced by Jayamma Chinnegowda. An account of Vallbhbhai Patel's political life while India was taking first steps as an independent country. Sardar stars Vijaya Raghavendra in the title role along with Neetu, Vishak Hegde, Ananth Nag and Ramesh Bhat in supporting roles. The music was composed by V Manohar. Cinematography was done by R Manjunath and editing by Basavaraj Urs and B S Kemparaj. It was released on 1st January 1993. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹12 lakh.
