Sasanam is a 2006 Tamil-language Drama film written by Nambiyathri and directed by J. Mahendran and produced by National Film Development Corporation Of India under the banner of NFDC. Muthiah (Arvind Swamy) and his wife Visalakshi (Gouthami) are a loving couple, and they come across Saroji (Ranjitha) who with no one to go for.. Sasanam features Arvind Swamy in the title role along with Gouthami, Ranjitha, Gautami and Arvind Swami in supporting roles. The music was composed by Balabarathi. Cinematography was done by K. P. Nambiathiri and Murali and editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan. The motion picture has a running time of 141 minutes. It was released on 28th July 2006.
