Sati Sulochana is a 1934 Kannada-language Drama War film directed by Yaragudipati Varada Rao and produced by Chamanlal Doongaji and Shah Bhurmal Chamanlalji under the banner of Prabhat Studio. A Ramayana mythological told from the viewpoint of Sulochana, daughter-in-law of the villain Ravana. Her husband Indrajit, son of Ravan wounds Lakshman. Lakshamana is revived by the Sanjivani Mani brought by Hanuman. Indrajit is eventually killed by Rama leaving Sulochana a widow. It depicts spectacular war sequences and was the first major Kannada film. Written by Sujit R. Varma. Sati sulochana stars Subbaiah Naidu in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Tripuramba, R. Nagendra Rao, D. A. Murthy Rao, Y. V. Rao, C. T. Sheshachalam and M.v. Subbaiah Naidu. The screenplay is written by Bellave Narahari Shastri which is inspired from Ramayana by Valmiki. The music was composed by R. Nagendra Rao along with H. R. Padmanabha Sastry. The motion picture has a running time of 173 minutes. It was released on 1st March 1934. Sati Sulochana was made on a budget of ₹0 lakh.
