Singham is a 2019 Indian Punjabi-language Drama Action motion picture starring Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood, Sara Ali Khan, Ashutosh Rana, Siddhartha Jadhav, Parmish Verma and Samuel John. The film follows Sangram Simmba Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer hailing from the same town as Singham, who is forced to lead a more righteous path after tragedy strikes those near him. Reliance Entertainment in association with Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Krishan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, Bhushan Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Singham is written by Dheeraj Rattan and Farhad Samji and it is directed by Navaniat Singh and Rohit Shetty. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Singham was released on 9th August 2019 and takes a screen time of 159 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Singham was made on a budget of ₹41 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹98 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Yunus Sajawal and Sajid Samji.
