Skin Deep is a 1989 English-language Comedy Drama motion picture written and directed by Blake Edwards and produced by Tony Adams, Joe Roth and James G. Robinson under the banner of Morgan Creek Productions. A womanizing, drunken, allelic writer, whose life ms to be falling apart at the seams, repeatedly finds himself in trouble of one sort or another with the law, ex-girlfriends, and jealous boyfriends. Skin deep features John Ritter in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Vincent Gardenia, Alyson Reed, Julianne Phillips, Chelsea Field, Joel Brooks and Peter Donat.
