Soldier is a 1998 Hindi -language Action Drama film written by David Webb Peoples and directed by Paul W.s. Anderson. A soldier is dumped on a waste disposal planet and lives among a community of crash survivors on the planet and takes it upon himself to defend his new home when genetic engineered soldiers are ordered to eliminate the crash survivors. Soldier stars Kurt Russell in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jason Scott Lee, Jason Isaacs, Connie Nielsen, Sean Pertwee, Jared Thorne and Taylor Thorne. It was released on 25th December 1998. The Film was successful at box office. Soldier was made on a budget of ₹8 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹21 crore.
