Somewhere in Time is a 1980 English-language Drama Fantasy motion picture directed by Jeannot Szwarc and produced by Stephen Deutsch and Ray Stark under the banner of Rastar. Young writer Richard Collier is met on the opening night of his first play by an old lady who begs him to Come back to me. Mystified, he tries to find out about her, and learns that she is a famous stage actress from the early 1900s, Elise McKenna. Becoming and obsessed with her, he manages, by self hypnosis, to travel back in time where he meets her. They fall in love, a matching that is not appreciated by her manager. Can their love outlast the immense problems caused by their time difference? And can Richard remain in a time that is not his? Written by Rhino. Somewhere in time features Christopher Reeve in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jane Seymour, Christopher Plummer, Teresa Wright, Bill Erwin, George Voskovec and Susan French. The screenplay is written by Richard Matheson which is inspired from Bid Time Return by Richard Matheson. The music was composed by John Barry. Cinematography was done by Isidore Mankofsky and editing by Jeff Gourson. The film has a running time of 103 minutes. It was released on 3rd October 1980. The Film was successful at box office.
