Soorappa is a 2000 Kannada-language Action Drama film written by Bharathi and directed by Naganna and produced by I D Kamalakar, M B Babu, M S Suresh Babu and R Jagadish under the banner of Super Hit Films. Soorappa (Vishnuvardhan), a kind-hearted villager gets accused of harassing a woman while saving her from a snake. Due to these misunderstandings, the peace and harmony between the two villages lead to enmity. Soorappa features Shruti in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Charan Raj, Vishnuvardhan Kumar, Ramesh Bhat, Krishne Gowda, Bank Janardhan and Tennis Krishna. The music was composed by Hamsalekha. Cinematography was done by Ramesh Babu and editing by Suresh Urs. The motion picture has a running time of 158 minutes. It was released on 8th May 2000. Soorappa was made on a budget of ₹70 lakh.
