Stand by Me is a 2018 Korean-language Drama movie directed by Norihiro Koizumi and produced by Ky Hei Sudate under the banner of Robot. Seventy-year-old Grandpa lives with his young grandson. He finds out he only has a short time left to live and decides to prepare for their future and to leave them something special. Stand by me features Suzu Hirose in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Sh Hei Nomura, Mackenyu Arata, Mone Kamishiraishi, Y Ma Yamoto, Y Ki Morinaga and Mayu Matsuoka. The screenplay is written by Norihiro Koizumi which is inspired from Chihayafuru by Yuki Suetsugu. The music was composed by Masaru Yokoyama. Cinematography was done by Hiroo Yanagida and editing by Junnosuke Hogaki. The motion picture has a running time of 128 min. It was released on 5th April 2018. The motion picture made a box office gross of ¥1730 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Toho.
