The show was Produced by Geoffrey Hemwall, April Nocifora, Aaron Baiers and Jill Danton under the banner of Secret Hideout in collaboration with Roddenberry Entertainment, Living Dead Guy Productions and CBS Television Studios. for CBS and CBS All Access. The show premiered on September 24, 2017. Star trek features Sonequa Martin-green in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Jason Isaacs and Wilson Cruz.
