Stardust is a 2007 English-language Adventure Family motion picture written by Jane Goldman, Matthew Vaughn and Neil Gaiman. The movie is directed by Matthew Vaughn and produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Michael Dreyer, Neil Gaiman and Matthew Vaughn under the banner of Marv Films in collaboration with Ingenious Film Partners. In a countryside town bordering on a magical land, a young man makes a promise to his beloved that he'll retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the magical realm. Stardust stars Claire Danes in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Charlie Cox, Sienna Miller, Ricky Gervais, Jason Flemyng, Rupert Everett and Peter O'toole. The screenplay is written by Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn which is inspired from Stardust by Neil Gaiman. The music was composed by Ilan Eshkeri. Stardust was made on a budget of $70 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $137 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Paramount Pictures.
