Supergirl is a 2018 American English-language series starring Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, Calista Flockhart and Andrea Brooks. The series is based on Kara Zor-El by Otto Binder Al Plastino. Supergirl is a costumed superheroine who is Superman's cousin and one of the last surviving Kryptonians. Berlanti Productions in association with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Grassi, Ted Sullivan, Michael Cedar, Larry Teng, Glen Winter and Raymond Quinlan. The series premiered on October 26, 2015 in English on CBS. Warner Bros. Television Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the television series. Creators of the series include Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg. Supergirl has 4 seasons and a cumulative total of 87 episodes which have a running time of 45 minutes each.
