Surya Vamsha is a 1999 Kannada-language Drama film written by Srinivasa Rao Bhimaneni, Marudhuri Raja and S Narayan. The movie is directed by Srinivasa Rao Bhimaneni and S. Narayan and produced by Anitha Kumaraswamy under the banner of Chennambika Films. Bhanu Prasad is an illiterate. So he is not loved much by his father. Even a young woman refuses to marry him as he is an illiterate. Later he meets Swapna who teaches him everything and finally he wins his father's trust and love. Surya vamsha stars Vishnuvardhan, Isha Koppikar, Vijayalakshmi, Venkatesh Daggubati, Meena Durairaj, Sanghavi and Junior Relangi. The film is based on Suryavamsam. The music was composed by V. Manohar. Cinematography was done by M. Rajendra and editing by P. R. Soundar Raju. The movie has a running time of 175 minutes. It was released on 25th February 1998. The film made a box office gross of ₹20 crore.
