Suspiria is a 1977 Italian-language Horror motion picture directed by Dario Argento and produced by Claudio Argento under the banner of Seda Spettacoli. Suzy Bannion travels to Germany to perfect her ballet skills. She arrives at the Tanz dance academy in the pouring rain and is refused admission after another woman is n fleeing the school. She returns the next morning and this time is let in. She learns that the young woman she saw fleeing the previous evening, Pat Hingle, has been found dead. Strange things soon begin to occur. Suzy becomes ill and is put on a special diet; the school becomes infested with maggots; odd sounds abound; and Daniel, the pianist, is killed by his own dog. A bit of research indicates that the ballet school was once a witches' coven - and as Suzy learns, still is. Written by garykmcd. Suspiria stars Jessica Harper, Stefania Casini, Flavio Bucci, Miguel Bos, Barbara Magnolfi, Susanna Javicoli and Lela Svasta. The screenplay is written by Dario Argento and Daria Nicolodi which is inspired from Suspiria de Profundis by Thomas De Quincey. The music was composed by Goblin along with Dario Argento. Cinematography was done by Luciano Tovoli and editing by Franco Fraticelli. The film has a running time of 99 minutes. It was released on 1st February 1977. The motion picture made a box office gross of $1430 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Produzioni Atlas Consorziate.
