Swing Kids is a 2018 Korean-language Drama movie directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol and produced by Lee An-na and Yoo Sung-kweon under the banner of Annapurna Pictures. In this swinging musical drama set during the Korean War, the soldiers at a POW camp plan a tap show to distract both themselves and the prisoners from the hardships of war. Led by a former Broadway dancer and a rebellious North Korean soldier, the band of prisoners find a new sense of freedom in dancing. Written by Well Go USA Entertainment. Swing kids features Doh Kyung-soo in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Park Hye-su, Jared Grimes, Oh Jung-se, Kim Min-ho, Do Kyung Soo and Hye-soo Park. The screenplay is written by Kang Hyeong-cheol which is inspired from Rho Ki-soo by Jang Woo-sung. The music was composed by Kim Jun-seok. Cinematography was done by Kim Ji-yong and editing by Nam Na-yeong. The motion picture has a running time of 133 minutes. It was released on 17th January 2019 in Korean and English languages. Swing Kids was made on a budget of $15 billion and at the box office it grossed only $10 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Next Entertainment World.
