The movie is directed by Chris Martinez and produced by Roselle Monteverde-teo and Annette Gozon-abrogar. Four beauty pageant contestants, who are vying for the coveted title of Miss Manila Sunshine, set sail on a yacht.. Temptation island stars Marian Rivera in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Heart Evangelista, Rufa Mae Quinto, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, John Lapus and Tom Rodriguez. The motion picture is based on Temptation Island by Joey Gosiengfiao. The music was composed by Von De Guzman. Cinematography was done by Gary Gardoce and editing by Vanessa Ubas de Leon. The motion picture has a running time of 115 minutes. It was released on 6th July 2011 in Filipino and English languages. The movie made a box office gross of ₱60 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Regal Films.
