Tenkû no hachi is a 2015 Japanese-language Thriller movie directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi and produced by Tadashi Ohsumi, Naoya Kinoshita, K Hei Furukawa, Takeshi Sakamoto and Naoto Miyamoto under the banner of The Big Bee Production Committee. Set in 1995. A helicopter, operated remotely, is hovering in the sky over a nuclear power plant. The power company, government and media all receive a fax that if the nuclear power plant is not taken offline within 8 hours the helicopter will be dropped. Also, a young child is in the helicopter. Yuhara, helicopter designer, and Mishima, nuclear power engineer, work frantically to save the child and find the criminal. Written by arogyame. Tenkû no hachi stars Y Suke Eguchi in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Yukie Nakama, G Ayano, Jun Kunimura, Akira Emoto, Masahiro Motoki and Yôsuke Eguchi. The screenplay is written by Ichiro Kusuno which is inspired from Tenk no Hachi by Keigo Higashino. The music was composed by Richard Pryn. Cinematography was done by Satoru Karasawa and editing by Nobuyuki Ito. The movie has a running time of 139 minutes. It was released on 12th September 2015. The motion picture made a box office gross of 783 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Shochiku.
