Thaaravu is a 1981 Malayalam-language Drama motion picture written by P. K. Mohan and Kaloor Dennis. The movie is directed by Jeassy and produced by N. Premkumar and N. K. Ramachandran under the banner of Divya Creations. Thaaravu stars Madhu in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Sankaradi, Ambika Ravikanth, Mala Aravindan, Shubha Vedantam Raghavaiah, M.g. Soman and Srividya Krishnamurthy. The screenplay is written by Jeassy. The music was composed by K. J. Yesudas. Cinematography was done by C. Ramachandra Menon and editing by G. Venkittaraman. It was released on 18th February 1981. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Divya Creations.
