Thacholy Ambu is a 1978 Malayalam-language Drama Action motion picture written by N. Govindan Kutty and directed by Navodaya Appachan and produced by Navodaya Appachan under the banner of Navodaya Studio. Thacholy ambu stars Prem Nazir in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Sivaji Ganesan, Jayan, Shivaji Ganesan, Thikkurisi Sukumaran Nair, Dominic Alummodu and Kaduvakkulam Antony. The motion picture is based on Vadakkan Pattukal. The music was composed by K. Raghavan. Cinematography was done by U. Rajagopal and editing by T. R. Sekhar.
