Tharkappu is a 2016 Tamil-language Action Thriller movie written and directed by R. P. Ravi and produced by Dr. S. Selvamuthu and Manjunath under the banner of Kinetoscope Production. An encounter specialist learns the hard truth that all his encounters have been to protect the interest of corrupt politicians and businessmen.However, before he can control the damage, four innocent people get entangled in his operation. Tharkappu stars Shakthi Vasudevan in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Samuthirakani, Sathish Krishnan, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Vaishali Deepak, Amita Ranganath and Riyaz Khan. The music was composed by F. S. Faizal. Cinematography was done by Jones Anand and editing by San lokesh. It was released on 1st January 2016.
