The Adventures of Pinocchio is a 1996 English-language Adventure Drama film written by Sherry Mills, Steve Barron, Tom Benedek and Barry Berman. The movie is directed by Steve Barron and produced by Heinz Bibo, Raju Patel and Jeffrey M. Sneller under the banner of The Kushner-Locke Company in collaboration with Savoy Pictures, Pangaea Holdings and Twin Continental Films. One of puppet-maker Geppetto's creations comes magically to life. This puppet, Pinocchio, has one major desire and that is to become a real boy someday. In order to accomplish this goal he has to learn to act responsibly. This film shows you the adventures on which he learns valuable lessons. Written by Peter Huiskes. The adventures of pinocchio stars Martin Landau in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Rob Schneider, Udo Kier, Bebe Neuwirth, David Doyle and Genevi Ve Bujold. The film is based on The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. The music was composed by Rachel Portman along with Lee Holdridge. Cinematography was done by Juan Ruiz Anch a and editing by Sean Barton. The film has a running time of 96 minutes. It was released on 26th July 1996. The Adventures of Pinocchio was made on a budget of $25 million and at the box office it grossed only $15 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by New Line Cinema.
