The Angel is a 2018 English-language Drama Thriller motion picture written by David Arata and directed by Ariel Vromen and produced by Antoine Stioui, Simon Istolainen, Zafrir Kochanovsky, Matt O'toole and Esther Hornstein under the banner of Adama Pictures in collaboration with TTV Productions and Sumatra Films. It is a fictional account of Ashraf Marwan, a high-ranking Egyptian official who became a double agent for both countries and helped achieve peace between the two. The angel stars Marwan Kenzari in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Toby Kebbell, Hannah Ware, Sapir Azulay, Tsahi Halevi, Maisa Abd Elhadi and Bern Collaco. The film is based on The Angel: The Egyptian Spy Who Saved Israel by Uri Bar-Joseph. The music was composed by Pinar Toprak. Cinematography was done by Terry Stacey and editing by Danny Rafic.
