The Arizona Kid is a 1939 English-language War Western motion picture written by Luci Ward and Gerald Geraghty. The movie is directed by Joseph Kane and produced by Joseph Kane under the banner of Republic Pictures. Roy and Gabby deliver horses to Missouri in 1861. When the war breaks out, they become confederate scouts. When the rebel McBride and his gang of murderers attack them, Roy is shot and left for dead. One of McBride's raiders is Dave who is a friend of Roy and he returns to save him. Later Roy captures McBride's gang including Dave and has to have them executed. Then he heads after McBride. Written by Maurice VanAuken. The arizona kid features Roy Rogers in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including George 'gabby' Hayes, Sally March, Stuart Hamblen, Dorothy Sebastian, Robert Middlemass and Earl Dwire. The music was composed by Floyd Morgan. Cinematography was done by William Nobles and Edgar Lyons and editing by Lester Orlebeck. The movie has a running time of 61-54 minutes. It was released on 29th September 1939. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Republic Pictures.
