The Assault is a 1986 English-language Drama History motion picture written by Gerard Soeteman and Harry Mulisch. The movie is directed by Fons Rademakers. In January 1945, during the 2nd world-war, the Dutch resistance kills a collaborator in the street where the 12 year old Anton Steenwijk lives.. The assault features Derek De Lint, Marc Van Uchelen, Monique Van De Ven, John Kraaykamp, Huub Van Der Lubbe, Elly Weller and Marc Klein Essink. It was released on 6th February 1986. The Assault was made on a budget of $25 million. At the 1987 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Foreign Language Film.
