The Big Chill is a 1983 English-language Comedy Drama motion picture written by Lawrence Kasdan and Barbara Benedek. A group of seven former college friends gather for a weekend reunion at a South Carolina winter house after the funeral of one of their friends. The big chill stars Tom Berenger in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum, William Hurt, Kevin Kline, Mary Kay Place and Meg Tilly. The music was composed by Bill Conti. Cinematography was done by John Bailey and editing by Carol Littleton. The movie has a running time of 105 minutes.
