The Birth of the Tramp is a 2013 English-language Documentary Biography film written and directed by Jacob Verghese and produced by N. Dinesh Rajkumar and Mathew Verghese under the banner of Jacob Films in collaboration with Jadyan Motion Pictures. A look back at Charlie Chaplin's early life and career, from his rough childhood and music hall success in England to his early Hollywood days and the development of his enormously popular Little Tramp character. The birth of the tramp features Sathish Ninasam in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Sonu, Roger Narayan, Peter Hudson, Kate Guyonvarch, David Robinson and Kevin Brownlow. The movie is based on D. K. Ravi. The music was composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi along with Judah Sandhy. Cinematography was done by D.Sasi Kumar and editing by Bavan Sreekumar. It was released on 29th December 2013.
