The Black Book is a 1949 English-language History Romance movie directed by Anthony Mann and produced by William Cameron Menzies and Walter Wanger under the banner of Walter Wanger Productions. The black book stars Robert Cummings in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Arlene Dahl, Richard Basehart, Richard Hart, Arnold Moss, Norman Lloyd and Beulah Bondi. The screenplay is written by Aeneas MacKenzie and Philip Yordan. The music was composed by Sol Kaplan. Cinematography was done by John Alton and editing by Fred Allen.
