The Breakfast Club is a 1985 English-language Comedy Drama film written and directed by John Hughes and produced by John Hughes and Ned Tanen under the banner of A&M Films in collaboration with Channel Productions. Five high school students meet in Saturday detention and discover how they have a lot in common than they thought. The breakfast club stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy and John Hughes. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Keith Forsey along with Gary Chang. Cinematography was done by Thomas Del Ruth and editing by Dede Allen. The motion picture has a running time of 97 minutes. It was released on 14th February 1985. The Film was successful at box office. The Breakfast Club was made on a budget of $1 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $51 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Universal Pictures.
